Putting your website on your own domain
Point a domain you already own at your DeskOwl site, with the certificate handled for you.
Your site starts on a deskowl.site address, which works perfectly well. If you already own a domain, you can put the site on that instead, and it costs nothing extra.
- 1Open Domain from the left menu.
- 2Type the domain you own.
- 3We tell you which record to add, and where. If we recognise your provider we link you straight to the right page.
- 4Add the record, then come back and choose Check. It usually takes a few minutes, occasionally a few hours.
Once it is live, your certificate is issued and renewed automatically, and your old deskowl.site address forwards to the new one so any link already out there keeps working.
Good to know. You need to already own the domain. DeskOwl does not sell them. If you do not have one, any registrar will do.
